CAKES AND PIES/AUNT TERRY'S SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

Ingredients:

1 cup sour cream
half pound butter
3 cups sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
5 large eggs
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Separate egg yolks from whites.  Beat egg whites to form stiff peaks.
Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks and vanilla.  Mix until
blended.  Add sour cream and flour, about a third at a time.  
Mix until blended.
Do Not Overbeat.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Let stand in pan 10 minutes before removing
from pan and cooling on wire rack.
